Our calculators use the same formulas used by venture capitalists and startup lawyers. SAFE note calculations follow the Y Combinator SAFE framework exactly. We regularly validate our math against known examples and legal precedents.

FounderMath works on all modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. We recommend using the latest version for the best experience. Mobile browsers are fully supported.

Once the page loads, all calculations happen locally in your browser. You can disconnect from the internet and still use the calculators. However, saving scenarios and PDF export require an active connection.

Your financial data never leaves your browser. All calculations run client-side in JavaScript. We don't store your numbers, cap table, or scenarios on our servers.

On the free plan, nothing is stored at all. On Pro and Team plans, saved scenarios are encrypted end-to-end. We can't see your financial data even if we wanted to.

Yes. Saved scenarios on paid plans are encrypted using industry-standard encryption. We use Vercel's secure infrastructure, and all data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

Yes! Pro and Team users can export scenarios as JSON or PDF. Team users can also export charts as PNG for use in presentations and pitch decks.

No account required for the free plan — just start calculating. For Pro and Team plans, you'll create an account through Stripe during checkout. Your login is managed through Stripe Customer Portal.

Free plan scenarios are stored in your browser's localStorage and won't transfer. Pro and Team scenarios are synced across devices through your account, so you can access them from anywhere.

Team users can embed charts directly into pitch decks and presentations. We're working on an API for deeper integrations. Contact us if you have specific integration needs.
